Why is an XML schema validator important?

An XML schema validator is a handy tool when programming a link with an XML file. A programmer can use an XML validator to check whether the required data types are being respected while creating the XML export file. This is particularly important during the development of the XML link, because it causes fewer disruptions afterwards when reading datasets in the future.

It is also highly recommended to always validate the XML data against the specified XSD when parsing the XML datasets in the backend system. The abbreviation XSD stands for XML Schema Definition. This file records the names and approved values of XML data that can be exchanged. The XML dataset is only validated in the system once the XML file is validated.
